We are seeking an experienced Operational Excellence (OE) Lead who holds the key to success in delivering projects that align with our business goals and Nutreco OE methodologies. Whether it’s Operations, Supply Chain, IT, Finance, HR, or any other field where opportunities are identified and executed, you will take charge of defining, preparing, and leading initiatives from start to finish. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that OE initiatives meet objectives within quality, time, and budget targets, while effectively managing associated risks. You will be responsible for the creation, management, and implementation of the OE roadmap across 3 plants: Sloten, Deventer & Tilburg, and Bützow (Germany) as of 2025.  

About The Role:  

Responsibilities:  

  • Develop and implement an operational excellence strategy aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives by defining strategic objectives and establishing a roadmap. 

  • Analyse existing operational processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Lead implementation and change management initiatives to enhance productivity and drive continuous improvement. 

  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of professionals. 

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture, provide coaching and mentorship, and empower team members to drive operational improvements and achieve organizational objectives. 

Skills and Expertise  

Qualifications:  

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. 

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in operational excellence, process improvement, or related roles, preferably in a leadership position. 

  • Proven experience in direct or indirect leadership and/or stakeholder management 

  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies, process mapping techniques, and other improvement frameworks. 

  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
